Oh the color!
Hey everybody! So Cork is starting to get pretty cold and gloves and scarf are required! Really it's the wind chill that is so bad. I have had such a wonderful time here. I went yesterday to the City Center (downtown) it is beautiful there the leaves are yellow, red, and orange. There are two festivals going on right now the beer festival and Jazz festival. I love that there are musicians on every corner and in pubs. I also tried Strawberry beer and have to say I like it! I also went to a nearby University that looks a lot like Hogwarts so beautiful. I also carved my first pumpkin the first night I was here and no it doesn't have a mouth but if you look at it the way I do it doesn't have a nose! LOL. Thanks to everyone for your prayers Cork is amazing!!

I have no pictures but on my day off I plan to take a few. Things have been great here I have met some wonderful people and wonderful residents. Ireland is so beautiful and so far I've been lucky that it only rains for like 5 minutes at a time them stops. Not only do i work with Irish residents but all the assistants are from different places as well. Hungary, Germany, and France so It has been a challenge some times with the accent barrier. It is kind of funny though cause one of the assistants told me she was nervous when she heard an American was coming because her English was not so good. We all get along so well and the residents already seem to accept me. So I am nervous about the driving but I know I will be ok my biggest fear is actually the driving instructor I hear his accent is really thick! Well I'm going to go sorry It wasn't long or really informative but the next one will be I promise!

In 2 days I will be leaving Spokane, Washington for South Carolina which is just a mini vacation to the big adventure to Cork, Ireland. I can't believe its here I've been planning a dreaming and now its here. It makes me so sad to think that I'm leaving L'Arche Spokane behind. Not only was this a job but every single one of these people are my family. No more waking up every morning to toothless grins and messy haired good morning hugs. No more random birthday presents of object around the house when it wasn't even my birthday. It's because of David that im not tender headed anymore with all the fountain ponytails at the dinner table. The way Tina smiles when I make silly faces or Mike ask me 'what you do today'. Hal always likes to point out what color shirt I was wearing and was my coffee buddy. Sean always making me laugh and taught me to jitter-bug. Richard for those rare moment for sincerity and telling me that I'm not the easiest person to live with. LOL. These are just little examples but so fresh in my mind where I hope they stay. I'm so happy to go home for a while then to Ireland but I just can't believe that means I have to leave Spokane. Not only the Core Members but I will miss all the assistants as well and all( well my 2) friends out of the community. I want to thank L'Arche Spokane for 2 amazing year not only was it fun but it taught me so much and life and myself. This will not be the last time we meet!! I love you all!

Today was a great day at L'Arche Spokane. We went to Coeur D' Alene Idaho for a community vacation day. We all had a blast went swimming in the lake, shopping downtown and out to dinner on the way home. My partner was David and boy did we enjoy ourselves. Most of these pics are of me and David but so much more happened that I could catch on film. Also at dinner we had so many people ask who we were and it was so great to teach some people about L'Arche! I can't believe I only have 2 months left!!!!!

Today is my Birthday and what a great day it was! But as usual I had more like a 3 day birthday. Sunday I went and saw Hunger Games and went to Couer D Alene with a friend. Monday I got a new tattoo and had a party at My house (Harvest House) were I was giving some very creative gifts. I am so happy and blessed to have people in two different states who care about me. Thank you all!
